CLIC organizes a series of professional development meetings. Here are brief descriptions of some recent meetings:

SPRING 2014

CLIC Curriculum Restructuring

A two-week workshop dedicated to restructuring the curriculum to address the vision and mission statement of the new CLIC, and to redesign the first year courses.


Language Analysis in Communicative Context

Analysis of lesson plans to develop analytical skills and critical thinking (e.g., comparing American and China dreams through the analysis of interview data with native speakers).


FALL 2013

Using Spoken Language Data

A two-day workshop presenting classroom activities using natural spoken language in Chinese, French and Spanish. The activities guide students to analyze language uses inductively.
